Hi Science Ready, for QCE I decided to jump in and teach formal charge this year even though it is not in the ATAR syllabus. I already taught breaking the octet rule from P3 and onwards (B/Be exceptions) and properly writing dative bonds. Adding formal charge helps clear up any remaining issues.
